Words you'll see

Short, plain explanations of the words used in Fit+ and in this guide.

Fit+ uses a few words that might be new to you. Here's what they mean.

WordWhat it means
Access requestA coach or nutritionist asking you to share some of your data. Nothing is shared until you say yes. Requests expire after 7 days.
AI coachA chat assistant that answers questions about your own training and food. It's off until you turn it on.
Apple HealthThe place on iPhone where your health apps and devices keep your steps, sleep and heart data. Fit+ can read it.
BookingA request for a session with a coach or nutritionist. It becomes a confirmed session once they accept.
Check-in passThe code you show at your gym's front desk. It refreshes every 30 seconds.
CoachA professional who helps you train. They can build programs for you.
Data sharingWhere you choose who can see your data, which categories and for how long.
EffortHow hard a set felt: Easy, Good, Hard or Max. You can pick one after each set. Fit+ uses it to adjust your own plan, while a plan from your coach changes only when your coach approves.
Export dataA copy of your own records as a spreadsheet (CSV) or a JSON file, to keep or take to another app.
Fit+ ProAn optional subscription for members, bought in the app and managed in your phone's app store subscriptions. It removes the monthly limit on AI coach messages.
Fit+ teamThe people who run Fit+. They approve gyms and professionals and help with support. They can't see your health data.
FuelThe tab in the app for food, water and your nutrition plan.
GymAny gym, studio, club, academy or team on Fit+.
Gym codeSix letters and numbers that identify your gym. You use it to link your gym in the app.
Health ConnectThe same as Apple Health, on Android phones.
HomeThe first tab in the app. It shows what's next for you today.
Import your historyBringing your workouts, food diary and weigh-ins into Fit+ from another app, such as Strong, Hevy or MyFitnessPal.
MeThe tab in the app for your profile, settings, devices, data sharing and gym membership.
MembershipYour plan at a gym, with a start and end date.
NutritionistA professional who helps you eat well. They can build meal plans for you.
PackageA coach's or nutritionist's offer, such as a single session or a monthly plan.
ProfessionalA coach, a nutritionist or both.
ProgramA training plan made of workouts spread over weeks. Your coach can build one for you, or Fit+ suggests one.
Progress photosPhotos you take to see how your body changes over time. They're private to you and are never shared, even with your coach.
ReadinessA quick daily summary of how recovered you are, based on your sleep, heart data and check-ins. It's a guide, not medical advice.
RoutineA workout you build yourself and save, so you can start it in one tap. You can group routines into folders.
SetupThe short set of questions you answer after signing up in the app. Fit+ uses them to build your first plan.
SpaceThe set of screens for one role. Members, coaches and nutritionists, gyms and the Fit+ team each have their own.
Swap requestAsking your coach or nutritionist to change an exercise or a meal in your plan.
TemplateA program, workout or meal plan a coach saves to reuse with many clients.
TrainThe tab in the app for your workouts, programs and routines.
UnitsWhether Fit+ shows weights, distances, energy and liquids in metric or imperial units, such as kg or lb. You choose them in your settings.
Usage analyticsInformation about which screens and features you use in the app. It's off unless you allow it, and never includes your health data.
WHOOPA fitness band you can connect to Fit+ to bring in recovery, sleep, strain and workouts.
