Save and log your own recipes
Import a recipe from a link or add it by hand, check each ingredient, and log a serving to any meal.
Cook the same dishes often? Save them as recipes. Fit+ works out the calories and macros per serving, so you can log a portion in one tap.
Your recipes live in Log food, on the Favourites tab, under Recipes.
Add a recipe
On Fuel, tap Log food, then open Favourites.
Next to Recipes, tap New recipe.
Choose how to add it:
- From a link: paste the web address of the recipe under Recipe link and tap Import recipe. Fit+ reads the recipe and matches each ingredient to the food database.
- By hand: tap Add ingredients by hand.
Check the recipe
Whichever way you started, you check the recipe before you save it.
Give it a Recipe name, and set how many servings it Makes. Fit+ shows about how many calories a serving has.
To add an ingredient, tap Add ingredient and write the amount and the food the way a recipe lists it, for example "2 tbsp olive oil". Tap Add.
Check each ingredient's match. An ingredient marked Needs numbers has no match yet and counts as zero. Tap it to:
- change the Amount
- pick the right food under Pick a match
- or enter its calories, protein, carbs and fat yourself and tap Use these numbers
Tap Save recipe.
Fit+ can't read every recipe page. If you see We couldn't read that recipe, tap Try another link, or Add ingredients by hand.
Log a serving
In Log food, open Favourites and find the recipe under Recipes.
Tap + to log one serving to the meal at the top of the sheet.
To log a different amount, tap the recipe to open it, then tap Log another amount. Set the Servings and the Meal, then tap the log button, for example Log 2 servings to dinner. For a single serving, tap Log 1 serving to and the meal name instead.
The recipe page also shows its ingredients and, for imported recipes, the Method and the website it came from.
Change or delete a recipe
Open the recipe and tap the edit button at the top. Change anything and tap Save recipe.
To delete it, tap Delete recipe at the bottom of the editor and confirm. Food you already logged from it stays in your diary.
