What you can see about your members

Joining your gym does not share a member's health data with you. Here is what you can and can't see.

Members trust Fit+ with personal things: their workouts, sleep, food and body measurements. Joining your gym does not share any of that with you. This page explains what you see, what you don't, and why.

The short version

Joining your gym does not let you see a member's health data

Being a member of your gym, buying one of your plans or checking in at your desk never lets you, your staff or your gym see a member's health data. That stays true for the owner, managers and front desk staff alike.

What you can see

Only what you need to run their membership:

  • Their name and profile photo.
  • Their plan, price and renewal date, and any pause.
  • Their visits: when they checked in, and how often.
  • Their payments to your gym.
  • Which coach or nutritionist on your team they work with, if any.
  • Messages they send to you.

What you can't see

  • Workouts, training history and programs.
  • Sleep, recovery, heart rate and other health readings.
  • Food diaries and nutrition plans.
  • Weight and body measurements.
  • Their conversations with anyone else, including your coaches.

Every member's profile in Gym management carries a reminder, for example "Health data and pros outside FitLife stay private to Makise."

How members share with a coach

A member can choose to share some of their data with a specific coach or nutritionist, for a set time. They decide what to share and for how long, and they can stop at any time. That sharing is with that one person, not with your gym.

So a coach on your team might see a client's workouts because the client chose to share them with that coach. You, as the gym, still don't.

If you are also a coach or nutritionist, a member can choose to share with you personally, in the same way. You then see what they shared in Fit+ Pro, not in Gym management. See the professionals guide.
