Build your own routines
Create routines with your own exercises, sets and rest, group them in folders, and start one whenever you train.
A routine is a workout you build yourself: pick the exercises, sets, reps, weight and rest once, then start it with one click whenever you train. Your coach's programs stay separate, and they always come first on Training.
To open your routines, select Training in the sidebar, then My routines.
Build a routine
Select New routine
It's at the top of My routines. Build routine opens.
Name it
Type a name in Routine name, for example "Upper A". If you have folders, choose one under Folder.
Add a block
Select Add block and choose the kind, for example Main, Superset, Circuit, Finisher or Cool-down. Moves in a superset or circuit alternate, so those blocks need at least two moves.
Add exercises
In the block, select Add exercise, then choose:
- From My exercises: your own exercises, with the defaults you saved.
- From the Fit+ catalog: search every published Fit+ exercise.
- Blank exercise: type a name and fill in the details yourself.
Set the sets, reps, weight and rest
For each exercise, set the sets, the reps (or time or distance), the weight in your units, the rest between sets, and a target Effort: Easy, Good, Hard or Max.
Select Save routine
You'll see "Routine saved" and go back to My routines. The bar at the bottom shows the routine's estimated time, moves and sets as you build it.
Fit+ never adds a warm-up for you. If you want one, select Add a warm-up at the top of the builder. It's optional.
Make the weight grow over time
Each exercise counted in reps can have a progression that tells you what to lift next time, when you hit every set. Select Progression under the exercise, then choose How it grows:
| Choice | What happens next time |
|---|---|
| Add weight | The same reps with a little more weight. |
| Add reps, then weight | One more rep each time up to the top of the range, then more weight. |
| Add a percentage | A share of the weight you lifted. |
| Keep it the same | The same sets every time. |
Select Apply to keep it.
Start a routine
Select Start next to the routine in My routines, or on the routine's card on Training. Then log your sets as usual. See Start a workout.
Organise your routines
Open a routine's menu (the More button next to it) to:
- Edit it in the builder.
- Duplicate it, for example to make a harder version.
- Move to folder, or back to No folder.
- Archive it. Archived routines wait under Archived until you Restore them.
- Delete it for good. Workouts you already did from it stay in your history.
Use folders
Group routines, for example into Push, Pull and Legs. Under Folders, select New folder, type a Folder name and select Save folder. Use a folder's menu to Rename or Delete it. Deleting a folder keeps its routines: they move back to Not in a folder.
Common questions
If you share your Workouts with them, they see the workouts you do from your routines, like any other workout. Their own program still comes first.
A superset or circuit alternates between moves, so it needs at least two. Add another exercise to the block, or take the move out.
Yes. Create it in My exercises. See Your own exercises.
