Choose your units
Pick kilograms or pounds, kilometres or miles, calories or kilojoules and more, set the plates you own and choose the first day of your week.
Fit+ shows every number in the units you choose: your workouts, food, health readings and progress. You can mix them, for example pounds for weights and kilometres for runs.
Change your units
Tap Me, then the gear icon to open Settings.
Under Preferences, tap Units. The row shows what you use now, for example "kg · km · kcal".
For each kind of number, tap the unit you want. Your choice is saved straight away.
| Setting | Your choices |
|---|---|
| Weight | kg or lb, for the weights you lift and your body weight |
| Distance | km or miles, for runs, walks and pace |
| Height and body | cm, or ft and in, for your height and tape measurements |
| Energy | kcal or kJ, for calories in food and workouts |
| Liquids | ml and L, or fl oz, for water |
Your units apply everywhere in the app, and to the numbers your coach or nutritionist sees about you. They also follow you if you sign in on another phone.
Changing a unit never changes your history. A set you logged as 60 kg still shows as 60 kg, or about 132.3 lb if you switch to pounds.
Set the plates you own
Fit+ uses your plates to suggest loads you can actually put on the bar.
In Units, under Plates and calendar, tap My plates.
Choose your bar and how many pairs of each plate you have, then tap Save.
If you switch between kg and lb, Fit+ moves your bar and plates to the nearest standard sizes in the new unit, for example a 20 kg bar becomes a 45 lb bar.
Choose the first day of your week
In Units, tap Week starts on and choose Monday, Saturday or Sunday. Your workout history calendar, your food diary's week and your weekly progress totals follow this choice.
Units during setup
When you set up your plan, you can enter your height and weight in Metric or Imperial. If you choose Imperial there, Fit+ switches your units to pounds, miles, feet and inches and fluid ounces. You can fine-tune each one later in Units.
Common questions
No. Your coach sees your numbers in your units, and anything they send you, such as target weights in a plan, shows in your units too.
CSV exports always use kilograms and kilometres, so the files work the same in any spreadsheet or app. See Import and export your data.
Yes. Fit+ tells your watch which weight unit you use, so loads on the watch match the app. See Apple Watch.
